Art is Our Voice

Art is Our Voice
The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider's web. -Pablo Picasso

Using Our Natural Ways of Seeing

Landscape by James

Seldom do the artists in the group lack ideas of what to paint or draw. They have this amazing ability to just start creating on the spot- be it a painting, a collage, a quick sketch, or a recent photograph. They work with confidence and are always full of surprises. I was watching them work this past week and thought how easily they create by using their natural way of seeing- which is really a gift they all seem to have.

Ted's photographs are always quite thought provoking. The one on the left is called, " Let Us Know If You Find Work " The photo of the back of a Red-tailed Hawk is very powerful !

Daniel paints an abstract which seems to reflect the mystical world of the ocean ( Dante's Paradiso with an aquatic theme ).

Bob's endearing bird is definitely a tribute to another Soul in Flight.

Michael's work also seems to have a mystical theme going with his beautifully painted fantasy horse.
