My friend, neighbor and fellow artist, Er, passed away recently while under the care of Hospice. She was a true artist and creative spirit up until the end of her life. As an occasional guest of the McAuley House community over the years she will be missed by many.
Nai Nai was a warrior, having made the horrific escape from Laos to Thailand, through jungles and mine fields, and across rivers fleeing the vengeful Vietnamese Army. Here in the US, she became part of our family and will be missed very much.
