Art is Our Voice

Art is Our Voice
The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider's web. -Pablo Picasso

Meet the Artist

Brian Brodeur

Here's Brian- Brian Brodeur that is ! I just finished photographing Brian's art for the blog and wanted to get it online ASAP. I met Brian last year when he exhibited some of his paintings in the annual, "Art from the Heart" show. His paintings caught the eye of many and sold quickly- before I could buy one. Brian has been painting since he was 9 years old and watching the infamous, "Joy of Painting" show.
Brian is a serious, 29 y/o track star with the Special Olympics. He also works at Pizza Hut as well as in a greenhouse. In his spare time he enjoys painting and walking. Brian has an exciting eye for color and uses it well to bring his paintings alive. The vibrancy and life he achieves with light and color is soulful and reminiscent of Thomas Hart Benton's early work.
Brian is the son of  McAuley House volunteer extraordinaire, Sue Brodeur.
