Art is Our Voice

Art is Our Voice
The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider's web. -Pablo Picasso

Memory of Landscape

Daniel
Landscape is a way of seeing; a place to find identity. I think when we create landscapes we create our own way of seeing the world. We obviously see landscapes with our eyes but interpret them in our mind according to our memory as well as our feelings at the moment.

I've photographed several landscape pictures over the years that our artists have created. Some of them are reflective of one's cultural background as well as one's ideal sense of beauty and serenity. Some paintings reflect current event, i.e. natural disasters, while others almost seem Utopian.

I've included a link to some recent landscapes done by two very talented artists, Ron and Daniel. The paintings are not only beautiful but have a spiritual quality about them. I think you might also see a bit of the early prime evilest landscape style going on in some of Ron's paintings. Enjoy !  KK
